Military requirements also continue to challenge the state-of-the-art in aerospace technologies for improving the capabilities of occupied (piloted) and unoccupied aircraft, targeting, surveillance, offensive weapons delivery, and defensive systems. Looking back at the evolution of flight, which occurred over several centuries, it becomes clear that the most significant advances in aviation can be correlated to critical technological advancements, perhaps even to what might be called leaps or “quantum jumps” in those technologies. ![]()
